Janet McTeer was born on August 5, 1961 in Newcastle, England, UK to parents Jean and Allan McTeer. She was raised in York from the age of 6. She attended Queen Anne Grammar School for Girls, where there was not much opportunity for drama. She became interested in acting at age 16, when she saw "She Stoops to Conquer" at the York Theater. She worked as a waitress at the same theater, where she once served a coffee to Gary Oldman. He suggested that she apply to attend the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA), where he had just finished studying. She successfully gained a place at RADA. After graduation, she began her career acting on stage by joining the Royal Exchange Theatre.

He gained fame in Britain thanks to his television role as the love-smitten Nathan Maloney in Queer as Folk (1999). Following his fame on American TV, Charlie had his first starring part in a film that was a commercial success, Pacific Rim (2013).

Paul W.S. Anderson gained a fair bit of notoriety in his native England when he directed the ultra-violent Shopping (1994) (which he also wrote), starring Jude Law and Sean Pertwee in a story about thieves who steal by ramming a car into storefronts. The film was banned in some cinemas in England, and became a direct-to-video slightly edited release in the United States.

Shopping (1994) allowed Anderson to get the chance to direct Mortal Kombat (1995), an adaptation of the hit video game, which showcased his directorial trademarks - visually stunning scenery and quick-cut editing. The film did well enough for him to choose his next project, which was Soldier (1998) with Warner Bros., with Kurt Russell in the lead. Unfortunately, Russell decided at the time to go on hiatus, pushing the release date of that film into 1998. In the meantime, Anderson directed Event Horizon (1997) from a script by Philip Eisner, which featured Anderson regulars Sean Pertwee and Jason Isaacs. The science fiction/horror film, a Gothic horror version of Solaris (1972), was stylish and scary, but was critically panned and did not do well in the box office, which Anderson blamed on studio-enforced cuts to the story. (Anderson has promised a Director's Cut, though none has been announced as of yet).

Soldier (1998) didn't fare well with critics and box office either, and Anderson's planned 2000 remake of Death Race 2000 (1975) was canceled. This forced him to think smaller, which led to The Sight (2000), a supernatural mystery movie that was a minor hit. He then resurfaced to direct another video game adaption, Resident Evil (2002). Long rumored among fans to be a choice comeback vehicle for zombie grandfather George A. Romero, the writing and directing credits eventually transferred to Anderson. He next was given the helm for the long-awaited film adaption of the popular Dark Horse comic book, Alien vs. Predator (2004).

Ben attended the University of West of England and graduated with business honours, before moving to Los Angeles to study at the Stella Adler Academy. In 2012 Neil made his debut in the world of high-end television with 'Game of Thrones' S2 Ep9 'Blackwater', and followed that up with S4 Ep9 'The Watchers on the Wall' for which he received an Emmy Nomination for Best Director.

Marshall continued to work in the network, cable and streaming arenas directing projects such as the pilot episodes of 'Black Sails' for Starz, DC's 'Constantine' and 'Timeless' both for NBC. Marshall also directed notable episodes of 'Hannibal' for Showtime and 'Westworld' for HBO. In 2017 Neil developed, produced and directed the Netflix reboot of classic sci-fi series 'Lost in Space', quickly followed the same year by the feature film reboot of 'Hellboy' released in 2018.

In 2020 Marshall made his return to independent film and the horror genre with the multi-award winning witch-hunt saga 'The Reckoning' which was the opening movie at Fantasia festival in Canada that year. Marshall's next movie 'The Lair', an all action-creature-feature set in Afghanistan was the opening night presentation at Frightfest 2022 in London and also played Sitges in Spain before being released on Shudder in Feb 2023.

Marshall switched genres yet again for the violent gangster revenge movie 'Duchess', due to be released by Saban in the US in September 2024. Most recently Marshall directed the erotic giallo thriller 'Compulsion' and is developing several projects including WW2 alien invasion thriller 'Invaders', tense action thriller 'Dead Stop' and land speed record drama 'Mach One'.

Daniel Weyman was born in 1977 in Newcastle, Tyne and Wear, England, UK. He is an actor, known for The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power (2022), Gentleman Jack (2019) and Silent Witness (1996).

Sting was born Gordon Matthew Sumner on 2 October, 1951 in Wallsend, North Tyneside, Tyne and Wear, England, the eldest of four children of Audrey (Cowell), a hairdresser, and Ernest Matthew Sumner, an engineer and milkman. He received his name from a striped sweater he wore which looked like a bee. He grew up in the turmoil of the ship-building industry and wanted to become a musician very early. Educated at St. Paul's and then Westminster, where she was one of the "token girls" in the Sixth Form, she went on to Oxford, where she gained a First Class degree. She achieved success on stage with the Royal Shakespeare Company, notable as Desdemona in "Othello", which was directed by Trevor Nunn, and has worked consistently on stage and screen.

The younger son of Timothy Malcolm Healy and Sadie Wilson, as a young lad Tim Healy's family lived in Coulson Street, Benwell, Newcastle-upon-Tyne, where his mother had a small shop. When he was 10 years old, they moved to Ouston. He was educated at Pelton Modern School, where he obtained 2 Grade 4 CSEs.

At age 16, at his father's insistence, he got an apprenticeship with Birtley Caterpillar earning ?26 a week but hated it. He enrolled at Durham Technical College but flunked all his exams except for O level drama. and went on to study A levels in the subject and started to tour the clubs doing a stand up comedy act. making his debut at a club in Sunderland. At that time you could tour all the clubs easily in a year without playing any of them twice. His gift for acting was inherited from his father who was a good amateur actor who wanted to be a professional but WWII prevented this. After marrying and starting a family, his father's hopes for an acting career ended. Nonetheless, when Tim started doing the clubs his father would wait up for him to find out how well he'd done.

As a child, Tim appeared in a number of Birtley Amateur Operatic Society productions but his career really started in the form of a court jester at Langley Castle in Northumberland. He played such characters as Robin Hood, Dracula, and Old King Cole. Eventually he wound up running the productions, writing all the scripts, directing the shows, hiring the bands and more. With a friend he formed a double act called Unit Two, which was followed by television and stage work, and a three year stint in the mid-1970s as a stand up club comic. His big break cane in 1983 when he got the role of site foreman in the television comedy drama series 'Auf Wiedersen Pet alongside fellow Geordies Keven Whately and Jimmy Nail which ran for 5 series between 1983 and 2004.

He married actress Denise Welch in 1988 and has two sons, Matthew, who is the lead singer in the band 'The 1975' and Louis who is an actor, Tim's brother, who is younger than him, is a child care officer in Stanley, Co Durham.

Aimée Kelly is a BAFTA & BFI London Film Festival nominated British actress best known for her debut leading role in the feature film Sket (2011). She continued to write her own work, and published two novels "The Whole Wide Beauty" and "The Lightning Tree" with Faber. She has recently returned to creating work for the stage, performing "Blizzard" at the Soho Theatre, and writing plays.
